Marlin and Dori begin their quest to find Nemo
We had a wonderful morning adventure today as we went to see "Finding Nemo" on Ice in Trenton, NJ. As any of you with kids knows, there is nothing that comes close to seeing the expressions on a child's face when they are witnessing something new, exciting or that captures their attention. Our kids absolutely love Nemo! In fact, it was one of Olivia's very first words and she seems to use it in her vocabulary to express anything that excites her. The show was tremendous ... slightly scary at some points for Isabella with the fireworks and smoke.
I will share some pictures with you, but they really can't capture the fun that Silvia and I had watching their expressions. Enjoy!!

Even at breakfast they were excited about seeing Nemo

Olivia getting sucked in to the dreaded souvenir stand

Isabella enjoying her Nemo light-up rip-off thingy

Mommy and her girls getting ready for the big event

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald came out
to "warm up" the crowd

Daddy and Isabella wait on pins and needles

The show has just begun and Olivia is entranced

The first appearance of Dory

Marlin with his new friend, Crush

The show is over and ...

... they are both out cold on the short ride home

That's awesome that you could finally experience it with your own kids!! It seems like yesterday us going with all the older cousins. It's amazing what will get their attention! Claudia
oh Jeff, i looove your expressive writing style. It's as if i experienced it myself. i suppose with our old heads, we think alike. haha! we took our boys to an ice event (someone gave out free tickets at church). I had to convince shawn it was an opportunity for us to bond as a family. well, after the main guy (or whatever "he" was) ripped off his top to reveal a black mesh, barely there top, shawn had had enough. What really did him in was when Joseph asked, "Is that a boy or a girl?" Shawn then informed our boys that the only time the Shay boys will ever be on ice like that is if they have sticks (hockey) in their hands. HA! Needless to say, we've never been to another ice show.
I guess if I had that experience with a show on ice I would not go back either!!! You'll have to catch a good Disney show to redeem the bad show you saw!
hey jeff, what's "bottled up"? Are you about to blow?
No, nothing like that. Just a little frustrated that day and couldn't find something to express it. These moods are almost all female, so I couldn't find anything else.
Funny you should mention the male/female thing. I just submitted a couple of moods to Peter at Punkymoods. He accepted my "Blah" mood, but told me he needed it in male version too. He said that the men would complain about unfair options! I'll let you know when I receive notice of my first publication.
